ROCKWALL, TX (August 8, 2022) The Rockwall Art League is honored to welcome artist Matt Bagley as the featured artist for the month of August.

Matt trained as an engraver at the University of North Texas, and he currently uses woodcuts (often on handmade paper) as his preferred method of bringing his vision to life.

In this fun and hands-on demonstration, participants will print a variety of pre-inked raised blocks using the Print Frog Glass Baren. These blocks will include art blocks from Matt, blocks created by other artists, antique letterpress blocks, wood grain, and found object plaques. Matt Bagley is a Dallas-based artist best known for his PrintShop a Go-Go program, a mobile print shop that can teach printmaking to anyone, anywhere, and his invention, the Print Frog Glass Baren, is the most efficient tool for printing without a press. .

The meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24 at the Harry Meyers Community Center, 815 E. Washington St., Rockwall, TX 75087. The public is welcome.
