John D. Petteys Sr., 68, and John D. Petteys Jr., 28, both of Greenwich, are charged with criminal possession of a 3rd diploma (possession of a machine gun) and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2n/a degree, all crimes.

State police also charged 28-year-old Andrew J. Fisk with two counts of felony possession of a 3rd diploma.

An investigation revealed that the three suspects were involved in the illegal manufacture of various firearm parts, including kits to convert firearms into fully automatic weapons. Soldiers also seized more than 40 high-capacity rifle and pistol magazines.

All three suspects were arraigned in Easton City Court and held in the Washington County Jail without bond.
