Microsoft Value Added Distributor based in the Netherlands QBS Group announced that it has acquired a majority stake in the partner firm specializing in training, based in Belgium, Plataan.

Founded in 2005, Plataan has provided training services to over a thousand Microsoft partners and has skills in Dynamics 365 Business Central, Customer Engagement, Power BI, SQL Server, and Microsoft Office 365, the company reports.

In a statement, QBS Group explained that the deal supports its global strategy:

This transaction is an important step in QBS Group’s strategy to enhance the portfolio of partner growth services provided to the global Dynamics partner network. It fits perfectly with the group’s vision to be the preferred community and center of expertise for all Dynamics professionals around the world.

In 2019, QBS Group acquired the majority of the shares as a strategic partner 1ClickFactory. In 2020, QBS became the majority shareholder of MindsUnited, a software and services company focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform.

As a training-oriented company, Plataan has reported an “accelerated intake” of its Business Central virtual training programs over the past year.
