PULASKI, Virginia – A Pulaski family is drawing national attention for their house Christmas decorations and now they need your help to win a contest.

Pulaski Mayor Shannon Collins and partner Blake Le take Christmas decorating seriously.

“He does the decoration. I can help when we open the tree and ruffle the trees. And I can help bring them back down, ”Collins said.

Which is why it was no surprise that the couple’s house was so extravagant that it was chosen to be part of the American Farmhouse Style Christmas Tree Contest. A home and lifestyle magazine.

“Their publication put us as a finalist in their Christmas tree contest. We’re in the top 10 right now, we’re actually number three right now, ”Le said.

The winner will be chosen by public vote.

“The winner is getting a post for its December issue of next year,” Le said.

The couple’s hope is to help bring attention to Pulaski’s good.

“Bring recognition to Pulaski. You don’t hear a lot about Pulaski and we’re trying to make a difference and be a little better known, ”Le said. “Even if it’s only something as small as a Christmas tree decoration,” he said.
