Wegmans Grocery will open Wednesday, May 11 at 9 a.m., the company announced. In a preview Friday, new members of the Wegmans team worked on displays and inventory throughout the 81,000 square foot store.

The new grocery store, part of the new Carlyle Crossing development in the Eisenhower East neighborhood, is just west of downtown Hoffman off Eisenhower Avenue. The grocery store, 150 Stovall St., is part of a mixed-use project on a 5-acre site that includes retail and two large residential buildings.

Much of Wegmans will be on the second floor of the development with a ground floor entrance.

The new store offers a coffee bar, sushi, pizza, subs and pre-packaged food to go. Besides, The Burger BarWegmans’ family-friendly, casual restaurant will serve burgers, sandwiches and fries.

Customers can do all their grocery shopping online for curbside pickup or delivery to their door in as little as an hour or use Wegmans SCAN APP to scan and pack their groceries while they shop for a quick and easy, contactless shopping experience.

Wegmans was founded over a century ago in Rochester, New York, and has over 100 grocery stores in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Over the past few years, the grocery store has developed a cult following for its one-of-a-kind items and deli selection. Wegmans has repeatedly appeared on Fortune’s annual “100 Best Companies to Work For” list.
