Front & Center-Kraus for 9- They say time flies when you’re having fun.

We have spent such an enjoyable, rewarding and memorable summer months here at Katz JCC – over 1,500 campers soaked up memories with old and new friends at Early Years Camps and JCC Camps in Medford . We saw lots of new families joining in to enjoy the summer swim clubs, sweating it out in our outdoor fitness and wellness classes, and stopping by the library for a cool, relaxing place to unwind.

Well my friends, although the summer is over, the fun doesn’t stop here at the JCC and I would like to personally invite you to come and have a look. If you’ve been away for much of the summer, we’re here to welcome you back to JCC with many new and exciting programs and activities.

We kicked off the fall with our annual Katz JCC Pro-Am golf tournament, held earlier this month at the scenic Galloway National Golf Club. We were proud to honor Howard Needleman, Founder and President of Needleman Management, as this year’s recipient of the Roger Davis Memorial Community Service Award. We are very grateful for the continued support received from professional and amateur golfers who came out for the day, with a special thank you to all the volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to make the day a success. Proceeds from the day benefit our Camps at Medford financial assistance program and the Open Hearts/Open Doors inclusion program.

The Sari Isdaner Early Years Center began its new school year on August 31 under the leadership of our new Director, Amy Stanley. It’s wonderful to see all the smiling, happy faces of the children in their classrooms, to watch them play together in the playground, and to interact together again on school-wide Shabbat on Fridays. We have a limited number of places available in some of our programs, so please contact our amazing Early Years team for a visit!

If you are looking for fun activities like dance, sports or art for your kids after school, join us for JPlay afterschool enrichment lessons. The fall session will include dance, arts and crafts, Gaga and sports. Each session lasts only six weeks, so you can join us at any time during the school year.

All eyes are on Saturday, October 15 for Live at 25! where we will celebrate 25 years at our beautiful Jewish community campus in Weinberg. We invite you to join us on October 15 at 7 p.m. for what will be a dazzling celebration of the Katz JCC. We look forward to bringing the community together to celebrate the past 25 years of Katz JCC history on this campus and the bright future that is yet to come. The evening includes dinner and dancing, a photo booth, cigar rolling, champagne truck and more.

The 65th Annual Katz JCC, Cherry Hill Celebration will take place on Monday, October 3 at 7 p.m. The JCC will thank and recognize outgoing president Marcy Dash Friedman, welcome new president-elect Andy Levin, thank outgoing board members, and recognize deserving community and staff members.

Tickets are also available for this year’s Fall Festival at JCC Camps in Medford on Sunday, October 30. You and your family will have an amazing day at camp with the dozens of activities planned. Whether you’re a current camp family, new to camp in summer 2023, a veteran, or just want to spend a Funday Sunday with us, this fall festival is the place to be.

Save the date November 5-13 for the Bank of America Festival of Arts, Books and Culture. The brochures will soon be in your inbox and we can’t wait for you to discover this year’s programming.

My warmest thoughts and best wishes for a happy new year. May peace, love and prosperity always follow you. I look forward to seeing you at J.
