Wigwam Golf Store was honored by Club + Resort Business as one of the “Top Rated Private Club and Resort Stores” for 2021 in the December issue of the magazine.

Wigwam Golf Store is ranked 16th best in the United States, according to the Golf Industry Trade Publication, which covers country club operations and management staff, semi-private / daily fees, urban clubs, yacht clubs and hotel complexes that operate. club type facilities.

Applications submitted for the Club + Resort Business Top Pro Shop ranking were independently judged by a panel of club professionals.

Rankings reflect judges’ rating of data provided on statistics such as professional store sizes and revenue categories.

Opened in 1929, The Wigwam is the only resort in Arizona to have three 18-hole championship golf courses: The Gold, The Blue and The Red.

As such, Wigwam Golf caters to a diverse mix of games, including resort guests, membership play with over 500 members, and outdoor / paid play, which accounts for around 70% of total games.

In addition, the club organizes numerous charity, junior golf and college events throughout the year.

The Wigwam Golf Shop focuses on the latest trends in clothing and accessories, while showcasing golf equipment and hardgoods.

In 2019, The Wigwam’s golf store was remodeled with added hardwood floors, painted walls and small “concept shops” created within the store.

In creating the Concept Stores, The Wigwam has partnered with major vendors, including Adidas, Travis Mathew and FootJoy, to brand the store, offset costs and make shopping easier. Buyer and merchandiser Laura Saiki was brought in to market the store and order products.
