LibreOffice is the free and powerful Open Source personal productivity suite for Windows, Macintosh and Linux, which gives you six feature-rich applications for all your document production and data processing needs: Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Math and Basis. Support and documentation is provided free of charge by our large community of users, contributors and developers. You too can get involved!

Writer is LibreOffice’s word processor. Use it for everything from writing a quick letter to producing an entire book with built-in tables of contents, illustrations, bibliographies, and diagrams. Auto-Complete, Auto-Format, and Auto-Spell Check make difficult tasks easier (but are easy to turn off if you prefer). Writer is powerful enough to tackle desktop publishing tasks such as creating newsletters and multi-column brochures. The only limit is your imagination.

Calc tames your numbers and helps make tough decisions when weighing alternatives. Analyze your data with Calc, then use it to present your final result. Charts and analysis tools help bring transparency to your conclusions. A fully integrated help system makes it easy to enter complex formulas. Add data from external databases such as SQL or Oracle, then sort and filter them to produce statistical analyses. Use the charting functions to display a huge number of 2D and 3D charts from 13 categories, including line, area, bar, sector, XY and net – with the dozens of variations available, you’re sure to find the one that’s right for you. your project.

Impress is the fastest and easiest way to create effective multimedia presentations. Stunning animations and sensational special effects help you win over your audience. Create presentations that are even more professional than the standard presentations you commonly see at work. Grab the attention of co-workers and bosses by creating something a little different.

To draw lets you create diagrams and sketches from scratch. A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not try something simple with box and line diagrams? Or take it a step further and easily create dynamic 3D illustrations and special effects. It’s as simple or as powerful as you want it to be.

Base is the front-end database of the LibreOffice suite. With Base, you can integrate seamlessly into your existing database structures. Based on tables and queries imported and linked from MySQL, PostgreSQL or Microsoft Access and many other data sources, you can create powerful databases containing forms, reports, views and queries. Full integration is possible with the built-in HSQL database.

Math is a simple equation editor that lets you quickly lay out and display your mathematical, chemical, electrical, or scientific equations in standard written notation. Even the most complex calculations can be understandable when displayed correctly. E=mc2.

LibreOffice is also configured with a PDF creator, which means you can distribute documents that you are sure can be opened and read by users of almost any computing device or operating system.
