The Individual Giving Manager will play a central role in INCLUDEnyc’s development department during a period of growth for the organization. As part of a team with over 30 years of collective fundraising experience, the manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive individual giving program, with a particular focus on high net worth individuals (HNW). The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage all aspects of individual giving, including the production of fundraising and cultural events, and prospecting, solicitation and donor management strategies to create a portfolio of strong donors.


  • Design, implement and oversee all aspects of INCLUDEnyc donor culture and solicitation, which includes a well-defined strategy to successfully identify and increase new donors, and increase donations from existing donors
  • Manage multiple donor fundraising projects, including overseeing data entry processes and monitoring revenue tracking
  • Develop and execute outreach plans for targeted donor segments and establish processes that use data and technology to manage direct mail and online donation tactics
  • Conduct research to identify new opportunities and funding sources
  • Liaise with the Board Development Committee to support Board fundraising activities
  • Design and manage special events, including annual Spring Benefit and HNW donor culture events
  • Collaborate with the INCLUDEnyc communications team to develop printed materials (brochures, promotional materials, appeals and online content) to support individual giving strategies
  • Contribute to the department’s fundraising strategy in support of a $1 million revenue goal for individual donations and special events
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Bachelor’s or high school diploma and equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience managing successful annual campaigns, cultivating individual giving, developing donor strategies, managing donors, and building donor research profiles
  • Experience using Donor CRM, Salesforce preferred
  • Creative strategic thinker with the ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-faceted, results-oriented work environment, and the ability to analyze problems, identify priorities, manage projects, and make thoughtful decisions
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Full understanding of how to leverage relationships, special events, and software (Salesforce, Excel, Wealth Management Engines, Research Apps, etc.) to develop a prospect pipeline
