Governor Gretchen Whitmer was in Flint again today – this time at the Farmers Market. Whitmer returned to Flint with some of the same top Democrats she had with her during last Friday’s visit. She added today US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, a former governor for six years and Rhode Island’s first female governor.

Raimondo and all the speakers addressed the crowd from a small stage surrounded by approximately 75 chairs for the audience. Raimondo said the choice in this election was “clear”.

“You have a choice,” she said. “You can choose Democrats who will cut health care costs, create more manufacturing and stop the rise of gun violence on our children” – an audience member wore an “Oxford Strong” sweatshirt – “or you can vote for dishonesty, lies, misinformation We must fight for our democracy.
