Angel Bomb, who published the incredible “experiential book” The Miskatonic Papers in 2019, has a new project on Kickstarter. This one is a luxury letterpress edition of the 1938 John W. Campbell story, “Who Goes There?” who inspired The thing movies.

Two versions are available: a luxurious Deluxe letterpress edition, quarter-bound in Japanese blue book canvas with cold embossing and beige goatskin back. This edition comes in a custom designed hardcover portfolio featuring an Antarctic triptych with notes and sketches from the expedition and featuring five letterpress prints fit for a frame of artwork from history. Within the portfolio cover is a hand painted and cast resin medallion of the expedition emblem. A true collector’s edition, limited to only fifty copies, this unique set will delight you with its immersion in an expedition madly fighting against a shapeshifter alien who is determined to subsume the crew.

Equally beautiful is the Standard Edition, printed in letterpress, quarter-bound in cool blue fabric and a contrasting spine wrapped in a letterpress belly band. Designed to be an affordable option with the same blind cover embossing, same artwork, and a high-quality print, this edition is limited to 200 copies.

The rewards are really cool. Look at these patches!
